Welcome, welcome to our spring play day retreat in Glasgow’s beautifully creative House of Toad!
Join us for a day of creative play and time to write with guidance and support from Write like a Grrrl tutor Kirsty Strang-Roy Expect plenty of time to write as well as time to chat and some creative writing games to re-energise your words.

Booking a writing retreat is self-care.
You’ll be surrounded by welcoming and supportive humans who will encourage your creativity and allow you to nourish yourself in the best way possible. Finish that chapter! Start that chapter! Dream a poem into being! Play with that tricky structure! And don't worry if you've never written before, Kirsty will be there for support and advice.
Your time is your own and you shape your retreat to suit you. There will be an optional park walk and evening dinner for those of you who'd like to make some new creative pals.

Retreats are notoriously expensive so WLAG has worked hard to make this one-day retreat affordable.
Lunch with vegan/veg options, coffee and tea & biscuits, and a one-to-one session with Kirsty are included in the retreat cost.
You’ll be guided through gentle writing sprints and games and leave the retreat with a clear idea of how to write through the spring and beyond.
