Thrive is a five-week course designed to help build on the skills you developed in WLAG Levels One and Two while deepening your confidence as a writer.

✩✩If you haven't attended Ignite or Inspire, our first and second level courses you are still very welcome to attend Thrive! ✩✩

This course really focusses on self-compassion, quieting the inner critic and strengthening your belief in yourself as an artist. It’s not demanding on your time, but will offer rich opportunities to reflect on your creative practice, reconnect with your voice and get honest about what’s holding you back. All in the company of brilliant, supportive humans!

We’ll hone our craft skills and develop new approaches and literary techniques, analysing brilliant writers such as Claire Keegan, Ramona Ausubel, Carmen Machado Marquez and others. Through their work, we’ll learn how to craft vivid, emotionally resonant writing with precision, opening up new possibilities in our own practice. Themes we delve into over the course include writing happiness, mood and tension, comedy and writing the erotic and the weird.

Whether you need cheering on, cheering up, want to reignite your writing habit, or keep smashing out those words, Thrive is for you!
