Thinking about writing non-fiction? Join award-winning writer Rebecca Smith for a 5-week course introducing you to the world of memoir, creative non-fiction, travel, and nature writing. The course offers a deep dive into the genre, with recommendations of books and journals for further reading. You’ll learn about research, interview techniques, preparing your own work for the page, and the ethics of writing about real events and people. Rebecca will share her own experience with agents, editors, and publishers, plus discuss the ups and downs of pitching and publication.
Through a combination of writing exercises and group discussions, you’ll strengthen your creative muscles and learn what works for you and what doesn’t. By the end of the course, not only will you be more ready to write your own story in a way that inspires you, but you’ll also have a ready community of like-minded writers you can call your tribe.
