Why did Cathy keep returning the moors? What’s so special about the dunes of Arrakis? What makes the Orkney of Amy Liptrot’s The Outrun a healing place?
If you’re interested in writing about space and place in fiction and non-fiction, and want to map the real and imaginary places that inspire your words, join us for this one-off workshop that delves into the theory and practice of literary settings and worldbuilding.
Write Like a Grrrl tutor Kirsty will guide you through some reflective placemaking exercises. We’ll discuss how to represent different spaces on the page and explore them through playful and generative writing prompts.
Whether you're starting to build a new fictional world, or want to make your settings sing, this is the workshop for you!
